Adele Overcomes Nerves For Glastonbury Festival Headlining Performance
Adele, it seems, is well aware of her penchant for using curse words and joked about it on stage.
The “Someone Like You” singer has been dubbed the queen of the break-up songs thanks to her heartfelt lyrics and says her previous heartbreak has helped her write some of her best music. Well as great as Muse is, we love you more Adele for keeping it 100 with us. And then, she burped!
Speaking about her post break-up routine, Adele – who has a three-year-old son, Angelo, with long-term partner Simon Konecki – confessed: “I mope around for a little while”.
“There’s Michael Eavis, thanks for having me, Sir”, she said breathily, tottering across the stage to see herself on all the screens, in awe of the size of the crowd.
Adele looked stunning in a floor-length, embellished black gown, her bell sleeves shaking as she shimmied along to the jaunty piano of I’ll Be Waiting. Not very, but the BBC had to give me a warning about my potty mouth before I went on. “I don’t know if that’s because it seems that I’m only really creative when I’m a bit momentarily depressed”. Later, she told the audience, “I have never been so moved by anything in my life…” Adele is the Savior of pop music, and she is on a divine mission to save the world with the healing power of her music.
Adele, while performing at the Glastonbury Festival in Glastonbury, England, called a fan named Maria onstage to take a selfie with her. Maria was apparently star-struck and forgot how to use her cell phone!
