Adele ‘Overwhelmed & Grateful’ Following Release Of New Album ’25’
Wearing long black gloves to cover her distinctive tattoos, a fake chin and nose, makeup to make her eyes look bigger and lips look smaller, and a strategic ladder in her stockings, the Rolling In The Deep and Hello singer crafted a new personality: Jenny the nanny.
Here’s five things you may not know about Adele. “I was so open about what the songs were about before and you know I hurt people’s feelings with that a little bit, being so honest”.
Adele is a private person, but no so private that she won’t vaguely talk about her relationships.
“Bless her”, whispered one of the other impersonators in concern. “I’m giving you up / I’ve forgiven it all.” .
Iovine added that part of Adele’s success is because her sound is unique among those heavily played on the radio. “When Adele does something, you cry”. Beyoncé withheld her last album, “Beyoncé”, from streaming for almost a year.
In just three weeks, the single “Hello” has sold 2.2 million tracks.
“I did a Kim Kardashian”, the singer said in an interview with etalk.ca. “It would’ve actually broke the Internet if it was my bum!” But never mind. Adele is back, in all her glory.
“I’m such a fan, oh my God”. It features the single “Sorry” as well as “When We Were Young”.
Adele’s album 25 was released worldwide on Friday, and even though it will not be on streaming services like Apple Music, Spotify and Deezer, industry analysts are expecting it to be the hit of the year.
Early indications are she need not have anxious.
“25” had been expected to sell more than 1 million units in North America in its first week, according to estimates by Billboard magazine.
Tyler Goldman, chief executive, North America, of music streaming company Deezer said the service would not have Adele’s new album at launch. At first, a few of the Adele impersonators who were watching did not believe that it was the real Adele they were watching on stage, but as she continued to sing, there was no denying that the woman they were watching is indeed the Grammy victor.
The prank saw her joined by other hopefuls at the try outs, convincing them of her nerves as they all chatted backstage. “Thankfully I am on my fifth album and can support myself, my band, crew, and entire management team by playing live shows”.
“We are thrilled to offer Adele’s new album, “25” for purchase on iTunes”. So I felt quite bad about that… I love Alabama Shakes…
We imagine her fans found themselves in similar situations, which is why her music resonates with so many.
