Adele’s ’25’ won’t be available for streaming on Spotify or Apple Music
The 27-year-old “Skyfall” singer played Jenny in the “Adele at the BBC” sporting a prosthetic nose and chin and makeup made to make her eyes and lips appear different, reported E! online.
This is familiar shtick-Adele’s previous album was called 21, and 19 was the one before that-but so is much of this new album: the banshee-wail choruses, the gussied up R&B production, the yes-I’ve-moved-on/wait-no-I-haven’t fixation on lost loves and shamelessly front-loaded track sequencing. “If this is my last night with you / Hold me like I’m more than just a friend / Give me a memory I can use / Take me by the hand while we do what lovers do / It matters how this ends / ‘Cause what if I never love again?” .
“She’s taking her time”, the real Adele says, smirking.
It’s only when she starts singing that the all rest realize that it is actually Adele on the stage.
Which brings us to today: the return of Queen Adele and her third album 25 hitting stores today.
Adele, singer and song-writer from United Kingdom, has decided not to release her new album “25” on the online music streaming services platforms like Spotify and iTunes, according to The NY Times.
On River Lea, Adele addresses her insecurities (“Sometimes I feel lonely in the arms of your touch / But I know that’s just me cause nothing ever is enough”) while producer and collaborator Danger Mouse (Gnarls Barkley, The Black Keys) infuses it with a swagger and chorus chants.
When she introduces herself to the fellow impersonators, she does a pretty stellar job at hiding the fact that she has a casual 10 Grammys at home. She added, “Boys are insecure; they can’t keep up with me”. She stated, “I have to take time and live a little bit”.
“Nobody else noticed at first and I had to keep telling everyone ‘It’s Adele!’ The whole experience was mind blowing”. 21 announced the arrival of a new influence on pop music and it’s certainly had an impact, bringing a new sense of depth to the genre and dealing a major blow to the prevalent mindless dance-pop that has dominated the early 2010s. “She’s swept us off our feet before, stirred our souls so powerfully that “25” is not collectively as game-changing as a few might want it to be”. That’s vital to understanding the album: Adele is growing, but she’s not grown. See the entire prank video of Adele as “Jenny” below.
