Adele to take decade-long break from touring
Adele has never been afraid to take some time out away from the limelight during her career – but her next break could be her longest yet. “He is the most important thing in her life”, an insider told the United Kingdom tabloid The Sun.
Whilst Adele is expected to make more than £100million from her Adele Live tour, a Las Vegas residency could prove to be just as lucrative.
The British pop powerhouse will hang up her touring hat for a whopping 10 years to focus on raising her three-year-old son after her current global tour wraps in November, The Sun reports.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “Angelo is the number one priority for Adele”.
She has brought him everywhere with her on tour but as he is starting school next year, he won’t be able to join her any more.
“A regular Vegas show appeals to her because it is in one place and she would be able to maintain a normal life, but it won’t happen for a number of years”, the source revealed.
A representative for Adele declined to comment when approached by MailOnline.
It’s estimated that the Hello hitmaker had already grossed a staggering £57 million at the halfway point of her current world tour from ticket sales alone.
Adele, now in America in support of her third album 25 which was released 10 months ago, admitted last weekend in Philadelphia while onstage that she doesn’t really enjoy the touring lifestyle. “I’m in America for eight months”, she told fans on tour.
As sad as we are that Adele will be M.I.A for a whole DECADE, we can’t help but gush at her loving commitment to her son, and longterm partner, Simon Konecki. “My main thing is Mum, then it’s me, then it’s work”, adding, “I think I had to take the right amount of time off to let people miss me”.
