Adele treats herself to In-N-Out after Grammys
In Adele’s defense – she had ear pieces in during her performance.
The award-winning singer performed at the Grammys last night and alas, not everyone was impressed by her set. The singer took it in stride, announcing via Twitter that she was “treating” herself to an In-N-Out burger following the show (the closest Los Angeles location being about eight miles away from Staples Center).
Thankfully, the “Hello” singer didn’t let this small malfunction get her down.
ADELE’s performance of BRUNO MARS’ “All I Ask” was also marred by technical mishaps, with THE RECORDING ACADEMY Chairman/CEO NEIL PORTNOW taking full responsiblity for the snafu.
The result was that the hitmaker sounded very mortal – TV audiences heard a pitchy song and saw an unsettled Adele, who appeared disconcerted when the song ended.
The Grammy Awards are music’s biggest night, full of jaw-dropping performances, touching tributes – and lots of politics. “She did a great job and we certainly don’t like when those things happen, but those things happen sometimes”. [Expletive] happens. Because of it though…
“The thing is, in fairness, I would have cried if it had went really well as well”.
Singing All I Ask from her recently released 25 album, the first sign that all was not well came when the sound dropped out for a few seconds near the start.
However, like a true professional, the 27-year-old songstress kept her composure as she continued to belt out the tear-jerking ballad.
My insiders at the Sony party (where celebs were confined to mostly John Legend and Tony Bennett) say she never arrived.
“Someday when you get where you’re going”, Swift said, “you’ll look around and know that it was you and the people who loved you who put you there”.
