Adele also said she wanted to “publicly support” American pop star Kesha, who alleges that her former music producer, “Dr. Luke”, raped and emotionally manipulated her. Dr. Luke, whose real name is Lukasz Gottwald, denies the allegations.

However, when she came back on stage to receive another award (Yes, she aced four), she stated, “I’m really sorry about swearing earlier and I’m really sorry for the ugly cry face”.

Before she closed the ceremony with a spine-tingling performance, Adele was presented with the award for British Album and returned to the stage to deliver one of the sweetest tributes of the night.
Speaking about her boyfriend, Simon Konecki: “I am so lucky to have you love me like you do”.
However the Brit Awards organisers admitted that radical action is needed to inject greater diversity into the music industry showcase, which gave awards to Coldplay, James Bay and Justin Bieber but failed to recognise any black artists in its major categories.
