Adobe Lightroom For iOS Is Now A Free Standalone App
This means that users would have to first own the actual desktop software and have a subscription to Creative Cloud.
If you’re looking for tools to edit your photos, like adjust the tone, contrast, shadows, and highlights, Adobe Lightroom is a great place to start.
Adobe’s new mobile apps are created to give users “the freedom they need to work and be inspired from anywhere”, said Bryan Lamkin, the company’s senior vice president and general manager for digital media. Powered by the magic of Adobe Photoshop technology, Lightroom for mobile enables you to craft and share professional-quality images from your smartphone or tablet.
The change is part of Adobe’s wider efforts to appeal to more consumers.

Users can still sign in with Creative Cloud if they choose to and there is a trial if they wish to participate in it, but otherwise the app is completely free.
The new and improved strategy bringing Lightroom Mobile as a free standalone app no longer sets such limitations.
The Photoshop Fix and Capture CC apps can be downloaded for free and are available today on the Apple and Google Play stores.
Both the iPad and iPhone versions of Adobe Photoshop Lightroom are free to download and use without a subscription or Adobe ID.
