Adorable moment orphaned baby kangaroo cuddles teddy bear
Tim Beshara, a political adviser to Tasmanian Senator Peter Whish-Wilson, tweeted the picture his mother Gillian, a wildlife carer, took while caring for her joeys.
The photo was uploaded to Twitter by Tim Beshara who says that the eastern grey kangaroo, named Doodlebug, is an orphan.
Doodlebug was in poor health when first taken in, but has since recovered and is roaming again.
“It was pretty embarrassing given my background in science”, he told the Daily Mail.
According to Daily Mail, there is no word on what exactly happened to Doodlebug’s mother. Beshara also goes on to say that he is happy that Doodlebug has found a companion that he can latch on to.
Beshara observed that animals seem to respond to toys in the same way that a toddler might. The pic was sent to him by his mother, Gillian, who is a wildlife caretaker. The joey is seen to be in good health with no signs of distress or discomfort.
Thankfully Doodlebug is now on the mend though, no doubt, in no small part thanks to his cuddle buddy.
