Affleck, Garner divorcing after 10 years of marriage

The site claimed that Ben and Jennifer were already separated and were just waiting on the right time to announce that they wanted to get a divorce.

The power couple of Hollywood, who are parents to Violet, 9, Seraphina, 6, and Samuel, 3, have said that the decision to part was mutual. This is the only comment we are making about our very private family affair.

They said: “Where there’s smoke, there’s fire”. When they started dating, Affleck was fresh off the demise of Bennifer, the name given to his pairing with previous girlfriend Jennifer Lopez and their box-office bombs, “Gigli” and “Jersey Girl”.

Rumors about the pair splitting were fuelled most recently when moving vans were spotted outside the family home.

There has been speculation that Affleck’s gambling in Las Vegas may have played a part in the breakdown of the marriage.

Jennifer Garner was previously married to actor Scott Foley, with the couple divorcing after three years of marriage.

Affleck, 42, and Garner, 43, starred together in the 2003 superhero film “Daredevil” and were married in 2005. Affleck to the casino, Garner to wherever she hangs out.

TMZ reports that the 2 have no prenup, which is unusual for celebrity couples, especially of their caliber.

The 42-year-old Oscar victor and the 43-year-old actress celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary just yesterday.

“After much thought and careful consideration, we have made the hard decision to divorce”, the ex- lovebirds said in a statement to E!

“They each go separately, and they also go together. He thanked Garner thanked for “working on [their] marriage for 10 Christmases”, adding “It’s work, but it’s the best work there is, and there’s no one else I’d rather work with”. While the news undoubtedly devastated the fans and followers of the two, an official statement from their representatives urged the public to give the spouses the much needed privacy they crave during this trying period.

Paltrow, meanwhile, has been quoted in the media as saying she and Affleck are “still friends” to this day, following their relationship from 1997-2000.
