After Possible Lion Sighting, Milwaukee Police Close Streets
Police in Milwaukee continue to investigate possible lion sightings throughout the city.
In one, the caller confirms with the dispatcher that they can not shoot the animal before saying they were going to return to their house.
There were reports that someone spotted a lion and a cub, but that has not been confirmed by police.
The first lion sighting in Milwaukee came in last Monday.
Another person who claims the animal came through his yard says he has had a busy week.
The animal was not located, it added, but police would maintain a presence throughout the night. Cell phone video from earlier this week shows the animal on the city’s north side.
Police subsequently received dozens of calls reporting lion sightings.
Residents of Milwaukee, Wisconsin are anxious that a lion is roaming neighborhoods.
