“Agent Carter’s” Lyndsy Fonseca to Return in a Dream Sequence This Season
Marvel’s Agent Carter is produced by ABC Studios and Marvel Television. It will act as a crossover of sorts with the ABC reality series Dancing With The Stars. This continues the story of the first “Captain America” film and follows Carter’s story being a secret agent.
While some might say this is simply being done in an effort to cross promote shows that air on the same network, it should be noted that Dancing With The Stars doesn’t yet have a premiere date for its 16th season, and won’t be airing in January.
“Agent Carter” is welcoming a familiar face when Lyndsy Fonseca returns to reprise her role as Peggy Carter’s (Hayley Atwell) best friend, Angie Cartinelli, but when she comes back she’ll return in quite a surreal fashion that it only makes sense when they’re featured together in a song-and-dance number.
Nikita actress Lyndsy Fonseca will be reprising her role as Angie Martinelli in an upcoming episode of Marvel’s Agent Carter.
“She’s [her] conscience and she’s speaking the things that Peggy maybe can’t say to herself”, Fazekas says. Episode 9 begins with a dream sequence in that starts in black and white – by the way, [Atwell] was made for black and white.
Entertainment Weekly reports that Fonseca will appear in a dream sequence that signals an emotional awakening for Peggy. The producer added that Atwell looked sensational in the black and white scenes, saying that she resembles Hollywood legend Rita Hayworth.
Lyricist Dave Zippel and composer Christopher Lennertz wrote the original song with Fazekas and co-executive producer Tara Butters.
There will be a sequence that will feature a whole group of “Dancing with the Stars” professionals.
