Agent eyes future Arsenal move for Almiron
Arsenal are reportedly interested in securing the services of Paraguayan midfielder Miguel Almiron from Lanus.
The Gunners are set to sign Shkodran Mustafi and Lucas Perez before the transfer window closes on Wednesday, but want to add Almiron to their squad too.
Arsene Wenger is plotting a move for Paraguay worldwide Miguel Almiron as he looks to make Arsenal’s sixth signing of the summer and third of the week.
The 22-year-old, who was given his global debut at this summer’s Copa America, signed for Argentine champions Lanús in 2015, making the move after coming through the youth ranks at Cerro Porteño.
He joined the Argentine side last August, after an incredible season with Paraguayan side Cerro Porteno.
Miguel Amiron has shown his quality in his debut season with Lanus and the player could be in line to a sensational move to Europe after attracting the attention of Arsenal with his performances. Does Almiron look good enough for Arsenal?
Almiron, who has been intimated about Arsenal’s interest, has admitted that he would be delighted to play for the Gunners, but has left his future in the hands of his agent as he concentrates on the ongoing campaign with his current employers.
Speaking ahead of Paraguay’s upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Chile and Uruguay, Almiron lifted the lid on links between himself and the Premier League outfit – insisting there’s been no official contact but that he would be open to the idea of joining the English side.
