Ahead of Democratic Debate, Hillary Makes Particular Appearance at Location
After months of watching Republican presidential hopefuls soak up the media attention – and the ratings – Democrats finally get their turn in the prime-time limelight tonight in Las Vegas.
Clinton, the front-runner for the Democratic presidential nomination, said that while supporters of the billionaire businessman see him as entertaining, he’s far from appealing to most of the electorate. As the leading alternative to her, he comes into the night with the most momentum and excitement behind him.
Debate watchers will also get their first real glimpse of three candidates who hardly register in the polls – former Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley, former Sen.
Regardless of the debaters’ – and your – views on foreign policy, Washington gridlock, the national debt and other pressing issues, hearing the candidates out helps clarify the electorate’s high-stakes choice of who will enter the White House on January 20, 2017. They have always been battling each other in head-to-head polls.
However, Ms Clinton’s 12-percentage-point advantage is less than half of her lead in late July, reflecting changes in both candidates’ images in recent months. She’ll have to handle them with grace and good humor, which clearly does not come naturally to her. More importantly, Clinton will have to ignore many attacks, not play too much defense, and pivot to establish a few form of authenticity and rebuild trust with voters. Then he added: “This is a conclusion I reached on day one”.
Meanwhile, Clinton will nearly certainly also have to answer questions from her opponents about flip-flopping on policy issues.
The Independent senator from Vermont has a substantial following, but has a long way to go in the polls if he wants to catch Hillary Clinton.

The debate, on CNN, begins at 6 p.m. and runs for two hours. The debate will be broadcast at the same time as key Major League Baseball playoff games.
