Aishwarya Shoots For a Sequence amidst Villagers in Punjab for Sarbjit

While some pics of Ash were earlier leaked from the sets, Randeep Hooda shared one of his looks on social media, as a prisoner of war in Pakistan. Needless to say, it sure seems gripping by the look of it. While Randeep is playing the titular character of Sarabjit, Aishwarya will be seen as Sarabjit Singh’s sister Dalbir Kaur.

Sarabjit died after a brutal attack by jail inmates in a Pakistani jail in 2013. Sarabjit was an Indian farmer in the border state of Punjab who inadvertently ventured into Pakastani territory in an inebriated condition in 1990.

Bachchan plays the pivotal role of Dalbir, Sarabjit’s sister, and the entire film is narrated form her point of view. The real look of the actress as Dalbir Kaur has been revealed and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is looking essentially excellent. In her first look picture, she comes across as a typical Punjabi woman wearing a colourful salwar kameez with a “phulkari” dupatta and loud make-up.

Sarbjit also features actors Richa Chadda and Darshan Kumar in brief roles.

The shooting of the movie is going on in and around Amritsar in Punjab.

The film Sarbajit is slated to release on May 19th 2016.
