AJ Styles Made His Offical WWE Debut During Tonight’s Royal Rumble
Anyways, let’s start out by talking about the 2016 Royal Rumble matches, and then my Royal Rumble predictions, and some Royal Rumble rumors. With Triple H now on top of the wrestling world as WWE World Heavyweight Champion, logic dictates that he will be in the Wrestlemania main event against rival Roman Reigns.
Rumors have persisted for months that if he does have a match, it would be against Triple H, and that makes things even more interesting.
Kofi Kingston & Big E defeated The Usos in a fun match with an exciting ending at Royal Rumble.
WWE Royal Rumble will be televised on the WWE Network, which is available through OSN, on Monday morning in the UAE from 4am. That still doesn’t give anyone any incentive to sit down and watch.
It’s really a shame this feud hasn’t gotten more attention on TV. Regardless, the match makes the most sense considering the depleted roster.
For WWE, Sunday was the company’s fourth world title change in 64 days beginning with the Survivor Series on November 22, all following Seth Rollins vacating the belt after tearing up his knee. Moreover, Kalisto may be at the Royal Rumble, and he might be faced against Alberto Del Rio. Will he finally win a title? Who do you hope wins regardless of the odds?
At least the WWE has time for one women’s rivalry. – How will Charlotte – and Becky Lynch, for that matter – respond to The Boss’ brazen actions? This is his 14 World Title and he now lags Ric Flair’s world record by 2. Unfortunately for Lynch, this is Charlotte’s time to shine as Diva’s Champion.
Heading into the Rumble match there were only two possibilities. That didn’t keep Reigns down for long as he returned to the contest, only to be eliminated and lose his title.
Well… not exactly. Ambrose interrupted The Miz’s introduction and talked about how he was going to beat Owens down. Right now it feels like one of those times.
Earlier this month, news leaked that AJ Styles and a number of stars from New Japan Pro Wrestling were jumping ship to join the WWE. “The Animal” is just the guy to match Reigns in strength and intensity. Either Reigns would win or he would lose and the person that wins would be his opponent in the main event of WrestleMania 32. What better way to introduce the biggest non-WWE talent of the past 15 years than to hotshot him into the WWE title picture.
There’s a new world champion as we embark on the Road to WrestleMania.
The biggest storylines of the night were the Wyatt Family taking out Brock Lesnar and the debut of AJ Styles who came out at #3. Can’t wait to see what his role will be at WrestleMania. That will be the highlight for me anyways.
