Akpom completes Hull move
Akpom has represented England at under-20 level and spent the second half of last season on loan at Coventry City and Nottingham Forest.
Arsene Wenger has revealed that he sent one of his pre-season shining youngster, Chuba Akpom on loan for him to get more playing time and developing himself.
In order to balance the books, Hull have been forced into selling a host of their key players this summer and the squad which manager Steve Bruce has at his disposal is certainly looking very light at the moment.
“It’s exactly what I need at this stage of my career”, Hayden told the club’s official website.
Akpom is set to be joined by global teammate Moses Odubajo, who is closing in on a £3.5m switch from Brentford.
It was announced on Friday that Hayden would be joining the relegated Premier League side on a season long loan deal.
Bruce, who has also recruited Newcastle utility player Ryan Taylor and Chesterfield winger Sam Clucas, revealed his side still hope to sign Odubajo’s Brentford teammate Andre Gray.
“But this season no, I plan to keep him with us”. I’ve had loan spells before, but they have just been for a month with a few games played.
“We’ve made a bid which I believe has been turned down”, confirmed the 54-year-old.
