Alabama at Mississippi State
The chip on the Bulldogs’ shoulder disappeared inside Bryant-Denny Stadium. Their juice was gone.
After a back-and-forth start to the third frame, the Razorbacks turned a one-point advantage into a 14-9 lead after back-to-back miscues by the visitors. “So they’ve got to keep the gaps tight and try to contain him in the pocket”.
Besides there is still a chance Fournette might win, just not as good as it was back on October 12 when Station Casino’s vice president of race and sports operations Art Manteris opened betting on the first odds to win the Heisman ever available in Las Vegas.
“It’s just the stage is not as big for us this year as it was last year”.
LET’S PLAY 100: Alabama and Mississippi State will meet for the 100th time on Saturday in a series that dates back to 1896. The Bulldogs lost 25-20 and wound up finishing the season 10-3.
“We’re still confident”, cornerback Taveze Calhoun said.
“That was a heads-up play”, he said. But it’s a little different this year because all the media attention is not on us. We still have the same goals we had previous year.
But this is not the first time this has happened to Miles while facing Alabama. “It’s win or die for them”, Jones said. Connelly’s S&P+ system is as optimistic, with Alabama at least 65 percent likely to win each of its final SEC games, including the conference championship. Arakansas’ Brandon Allen ranks second in the SEC with 2,476 yards and 21 touchdowns passing, while LSU’s Brandin Harris, who operates in a run-heavy offense, has passed for 1,226 yards and 10 TDs. Right now, I just want to enjoy what Prescott is doing. But no matter how willing the selection committee is to recognize that, there is no margin for error because of the loss to Ole Miss. According to Purdam, Ohio State running back Ezekiel Elliott (8-1 odds) had attracted the most overall bets.
Even though LSU and Alabama are two of the four schools which have owned the SEC over the past decade, their annual duel is not as celebrated as others across the country. Alabama has allowed only six opposing quarterback runs of double-digit yardage this season, which is tied for ninth-fewest nationally. Youve got to put hands on him and move your feet.. “He’s fast”, Jones said. “Him and [Leonard Fournette], those are a different type of breed in the SEC”. The combined records of those eight teams is 42-30 and all but two of them have winning records. “We’re still going in thinking we can win”. “That’s one of our favorite things to do”.
Then came the game against Alabama, and Fournette’s performance was lackluster at best, with 19 rushes for 31 yards and an inconsequential touchdown. Neither Jackson nor Fitzpatrick will probably get many chances for those against Prescott, however, because he’s thrown but one interception all season. “He’s done a pretty good job at it”. His rationalization about not putting an undefeated Oklahoma State, Baylor or Iowa in the top four was the catchall excuse of SOS, “eye” test or in the case of Iowa history.

Throwing receivers open is really the only way to beat this Alabama defense in the passing game.
When he’s not taking off and running, Prescott is lobbing the ball up to Fred Ross or De’Runnya Wilson.
“Unless you’ve got a guy who’s 6-5, it’s a problem”, he said.
Alabama football coach Nick Saban reacts to a question during his news conference Wednesday, November 11, 2015, in Tuscaloosa, Ala.
And that’s where the real concern for Alabama comes in: Will all 11 defenders run to the ball? On offense, will we see the same effort we saw against LSU last Saturday? After such a physically and emotionally draining win, will the Tide experience a hangover?
