Albany area faces days of rain, possible flooding
For today and tonight, localized heavy rain could produce flooding in urban and poor drainage areas.
Much of the Southern Tier and parts of Central New York will be under a flood watch beginning this afternoon until Wednesday morning. A coastal flood advisory remains in effect until 11 a.m. Monday.

Up to three-quarters of an inch of rain could fall on Wednesday when temperatures will only climb int the high 60s and low 70s. Depending on the path of this storm, it could bring us another surge of rain and wind.
It’s a murky, mild, muggy morning with a few light showers out there.
Even though small streams and river beds are low, Kistner said the amount of rain expected in a short period of time could send water over the banks.
This end-of-the-month rainfall will likely see September finishing with above average rainfall, Lee said. Highs will reach the upper 70s, possibly 80 degrees.
Beware minor to moderate coastal flooding during the hours flanking the 1:30 mph high tide.
