Aldo questions McGregor drug testing
Some in the MMA world believe McGregor lacks the skills to defeat Aldo, but if there’s one thing the Irishman doesn’t lack, it’s confidence.
The pair were originally supposed to fight for the title back in July, but Aldo pulled out citing a rib injury.
“I don’t know who makes fighters favourites”.
As if there hasn’t already been enough controversy and bad blood in the lead-up to their highly anticipated showdown at UFC 194 in two weeks, Jose Aldo has questioned whether interim featherweight champion Conor McGregor is being drug tested.
McGregor, who is coming off a second-round knockout victory against Chad Mendes, recently took a swipe at Aldo again. I think that I will never be in a comfort zone.
“I don’t know if I’m right, but it seems like maybe McGregor got into Aldo’s head a little bit”, St-Pierre said. I could have cost them a lot.
Less than three years after he first set foot in the Octagon, 27-year-old UFC interim featherweight champion Conor McGregor has enjoyed a meteoric rise to fame and fortune in the sport. “But if he shows up, I feel I will KO him inside one”.
It’s a fight that’s been mired in controversy, from injury setbacks to disagreements over drug testing. You might not think it at first, but it adds a lot more to this training video than you might think. I hope he does.
Now that UFC Fight Night 79 – which went down last night (Sat., Nov. 28, 2015 in Seoul, South Korea, ) – is in the books (results here), it’s time to look ahead to Ultimate Fighting Championship’s (UFC) next pay-per-view (PPV) event.
“Leaving Ireland today for the West Coast to unify my belt and spearhead the unprecedented $90-100 million dollar UFC 194 event”, McGregor wrote.
Both fighters bring venomous striking to the bout, but while McGregor’s last four consecutive wins have come via knockout, Aldo has triumphed in his most recent two matches via decision.
