Alec Baldwin returns as President Trump in a new book
Baldwin, who frequently plays the president in various “Saturday Night Live” skits, will also be narrating the audio version of the book.
If you thought Alec Baldwin was about to go easy on President Donald Trump now he’s been in office for almost a month, you’re dead wrong.
“I wouldn’t say I’m not lobbying”, Alec told host Jimmy Kimmel when he asked if the actor wanted the role.
“The actor hopes to play the president at this year’s White House Correspondents” dinner after Trump announced he would not attend. He says that they will try to show Trump exactly as he is, rather than the one Baldwin impersonates.
Alec Baldwin is cashing in on his beloved Donald Trump impression, taking it from the screen to the page, announcing plans Wednesday to pen a faux memoir as the USA president.
Alec Baldwin is taking his Donald Trump impression from “Saturday Night Live” to the pages of a new book. Baldwin didn’t refer to the comedian by name, instead calling Atamanuik “a guy who’s on the internet”.
“Y ou are not one of those people?” “I’m getting the wig on me, and I’m sitting there the whole time going, ‘China, China, ‘ again and again, until you don’t think about it”. “I think we’ll be channeling and amplifying the real Trump”, Andersen said. And if Kimmel really doesn’t know who Tony is, that’s surprising.
Kimmel said Baldwin deserved the Correspondents’ Dinner gig.
Baldwin and the president have had an ongoing feud, mostly on Twitter, since he began his impersonation on SNL during the presidential campaign.
Trump has not been a fan of Baldwin’s portrayal of him and has let it be known following certain episodes of the long-running sketch show.
