Alfonso Ribeiro Rumored To Co-Host DWTS Tonight
Dancing with the Stars is celebrating the Top 10’s Most Memorable Years on Monday, October 5, but the show will be memorable for a different reason: host Tom Bergeron will not be there.
Bergeron, 60, made the announcement via Twitter on Sunday, October 4, that he would be missing his presenting duties the following day due to a vital family commitment. People announce that Season 19 victor Alfonso Ribeiro will step in as host this week, alongside co-host Erin Andrews.
Not long after, Ribeiro wrote on Facebook, “I will be filling in for Tom Bergeron tomorrow night on Dancing With The Stars”. He’s given me a lifetime of support. “Time to return the favor”.
But in all seriousness, fans are concerned about Tom and his dad and sent their love.
Now with Bergeron’s absence, Dancing with the Stars is bound to have a unique and different kind of show.
Just last week, Ribeiro appeared on the series as a guest judge.
The former Fresh Prince of Bel-Air actor is now working as a host on America’s Funniest Home Videos. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Ribeiro described Bergeron as his “idol in the hosting world”, and said he was humbled the longtime host gave him his blessing as his replacement.
