All-Comers Invited To Play Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash On November 20
It is the first Mario Tennis since 2012’s Mario Open Tennis on 3DS. IGN has reached out to Nintendo of America about these features and whether they’re included with the Wii U game. Along with the fun and dynamic gameplay known to the franchise, surprise your opponents with a new move to the series, the Jumpshot, which sends the ball flying down the court. We’re talking about Mario Tennis Ultra Smash. Compete in singles or doubles matches with friends, family, or even against the computer as you flawless your Jumpshot starting November 20. Shacknews briefly tried the game at this year’s GameStop Expo earlier this month and saw the Mega Mushroom randomly pop onto the field to help give competitors a size advantage.
Now Nintendo hasn’t revealed a release date for Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash in Europe or Australia, so stay tuned to IGN for future updates on the Wii U game. The November 20th spot is generally around Nintendo’s favorite time to release their biggest games – such as Zelda and Mario titles in recent years – so a few have speculated that perhaps Xenoblade Chronicles X would be the one to take over the cherished slot.
