Allu Arjun donates for Chennai Flood victims
“Tarak and I will be contributing to the Tamil Nadu CM Relief Fund”, Junior NTR tweeted.
An official statement said that Kollywood Superstar Rajni Kanth has given Rs. 10 lac and apparently the donation was paid through Sri Raghavendra Public Charitable Trust, formed by Superstar himself. The actor, who earlier expressed his grief looking at the devastation, also has come forward to do his bit. It made me who I am today. “I love u Chennai”, tweeted Allu Arjun, one of the popular actors of Tollywood.
Reportedly, Mega Hero Varun Tej announced that he will give 3 lakhs to the Tamil Nadu CM Relief Fund towards the alleviation measures for the Chennai flood casualties.
Mahesh Babu announced another Rs. 10 lakh, while Allu Arjun announced Rs. 25 lakh donation. He urged everyone to help the floodhit people in their own way.
NTR has announced a contribution of Rs 10 Lakhs and Kalyan Ram has announced a contribution of Rs 5 Lakhs.
However, it seems heroines in the South are not moved enough to announce any kind of help to Chennai. This shows the severity of Chennai Floods.
The state-run company, a unit of the country’s biggest refiner Indian Oil Corp, is the main fuel supplier to the city of Chennai that has been submerged by the strongest spell of rain in more than a century. The event has been postponed to January 2016. Andre Timmins, founder-director, Wizcraft International, in a statement on behalf of the IIFA management, said they would make strenuous efforts to help the Chennai victims.
