Amal Clooney Attended the Red Carpet of 2015 Golden Globes in Style
The newlywed couple George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin made a stunning first red carpet appearance since they tied the knot, on Sunday, Jan. 11, at the 72nd Annual Golden Globe Awards, in Beverly Hills.
The Monuments Men star, 53, and his human rights lawyer wife, 36, attended the event that conferred Cecil B. DeMille Award to George Clooney for his outstanding achievement in film and television. The trophy was presented to the Oscar winner by close friend and his former ER love interest Julianna Margulies and Don Cheadle.
The Hollywood actor has been nominated in many Golden Globes categories in the past and was honored for his career milestones and humanitarian efforts, particularly in Sudan and Darfur. The actor who starred in Gravity, Ocean’s Eleven, and The Descendants, used the golden globe platform to express his views on the last week’s deadly terrorist attacks in Paris. The Clooneys had arrived on the Globes red carpet wearing ‘Je suis Charlie’ badges to honor and extend support and solidarity, to the victims of the attack and their families.
Mrs. Clooney made her red carpet debut in a long black Dior Haute Couture gown and white, elbow-length gloves, that she sewed herself! Amal was looking gorgeous and elegant. Amal also shows her fine sense style in choosing her accessories. She accessorized her outfit with diamond drop Harry Winston earrings and a white box clutch that she carried as a mark of solidarity with the French people, who went through a horrific week. George wore a dark gray tuxedo (the star admitted that he recycled his wedding tux!).
George and Amal got married in a lavish ceremony at the Aman Canal Grande hotel in Venice, Italy, in September last year. The actor gushed about how lucky he was to have found Amal and that he couldn’t be more proud to be her husband.
