Amazon Adds Same-Day Prime Delivery To Chicago & Orlando

Coverage in Chicago extends from downtown north to Evanston and Arlington Heights, west to Glen Ellyn and Downers Grove, and south to Oak Lawn. New coverage also includes additional areas in Brooklyn and Queens in New York City, Northern New Jersey stretching from Newark to Paterson and beyond, and additional locations in the downtown area of Philadelphia. In the Bay Area, Prime Now is available from 8 a.m.to midnight, seven days a week.

Amazon said more than a million items are available for same-day delivery.

Elsewhere in California, Prime Now as already available in Los Angeles and Orange County, and Amazon has five fulfillment centers across the state – staffed by more than 10,000 people – and six specific Prime Now hubs to help expedite deliveries.

Prime membership is $99 a year and includes delivery benefits plus access to streaming movies, TV shows and music. Prime offers over 1 million items available to be delivered for free the same day you buy them online. Depending on where you live, you’ll be able to choose from restaurants like Pok Pok, Waffle Window, Kim Jong Grillin’ and more. Using the Prime Now mobile app, customers can get superfast delivery on tens of thousands of items including paper towels, chilled and frozen items like milk or ice cream, and televisions and Kindle devices, to name a few.
