Amazon Reveals “Transparent”, Woody Allen Series Premiere Dates
The six-episode show, titled Crisis in Six Scenes, stars Miley Cyrus, Elaine May and Allen himself.
Amazon executives announced the news at the platform’s Television Critics Association presentation on Sunday morning.
The six part series is set to land on Amazon’s service on the 30th of September and the first clip has been released for us all to enjoy.
The collection “takes place within the 1960s throughout turbulent occasions in the United States of America when a center class suburban household is visited by a visitor who turns their family utterly the wrong way up”, in line with an outline offered by Amazon.
“One Mississippi” (episodes stream beginning September 9 on Amazon Prime): Comedian Tig Notaro stars in a new comedy inspired by her own life.
One Mississippi comes from executive producer Louis C.K. and was the stand out choice in Amazon’s “vote for your favorite pilot” offerings last fall. It will be followed on September 16 by playwright Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s “Fleabag”, about modern life in London and starring and written by her.
On the drama side, Good Girls Revolt – which stars Genevieve Angelson, Anna Camp, and Hunter Parish – will premiere October 28, while Billy Bob Thornton’s Goliath arrives October 14.
Amazon has also let slip when two of its other sacred cows will return, with Mozart in the Jungle coming back for a third year on December 9. Red Oaks’ second season will bow November 11.
