Amber Alert issued for missing 6-year-old Houston girl
The girl was abducted in Houston on late Sunday after Lexi’s mother got into an argument with York, her ex-boyfriend, and told him to leave.
Sabine Parish authorities are still searching for the missing child and her alleged abductor.
While an Amber Alert has not been issued in Louisiana, authorities in Texas have had an Amber Alert in place since early Monday morning.
The child, Alexis “Lexi” Johnson, is a 6-year-old white female with brown hair and brown eyes. The Harris County Sheriff’s Office in Texas notified LSP about the incident. He is thought to be heading to Louisiana.
York and Johnson have not yet been found, LSP said in an update.
He is said to be driving a blue 2000 Ford F-150 pickup truck with a Louisiana license plate that reads F163202. The mother called the sheriff’s office and York took the girl into the woods, according to Sabine Parish officials.
Police have now issued an Amber Alert and are appealing for anyone to contact them if they have seen the missing pair. “She’s about 3’7” tall and weighs 63 pounds. Anyone who has information that may help us to locate them is asked to call Louisiana State Police at 225-925-6536 or the Sabine Parish Sheriff’s Office at (318) 256-9241. She has shoulder-length hair, brown eyes and wears glasses. He is approximately 5 feet, 7 inches tall and weighs 160 pounds.
