Amber Rose Tears For Kanye West and Wiz Khalifa
The march and festival was hosted by the Amber Rose Foundation, a non-profit org whose mission statement is “uplifting, empowering, and enhancing the platform of women across the globe”.
SlutWalks originated in Toronto in 2011 in response to an incident where a police officer told a group of college students that “women should avoid dressing like sluts in order to not be victimized”.
Despite her hurtful experiences, Amber says she has forgiven both Wiz (whom she says has apologized) and Kanye for the parts that they played in slut shaming her and encourages other women who have been through similar situations to being doing the same as a way to move on while working to defy the negative stereotypes.
Rose took a photo of her mother at the walk and immediately posted it to her Instagram account, as one does.
Hundreds of people joined Amber Rose at Pershing Square in downtown Los Angeles Saturday for her SlutWalk event. “Los Angeles is just the first of many cities that we hope to expand this movement to with your help”. She also gave a very inspiring and emotional speech on this specific topic, as well as the fact that her ex-husband said she was “nothing but a stripper”, according to TMZ.
‘Just because I’m a SEXUAL BEING doesn’t mean I want to have sex with YOU’. “I want to also forgive Wiz for what he said”. “To be told that I was nothing but a stripper, it hurt”.
“I suggest that you guys do the same and I’ll tell you why”, she explained. Amber states the “See You Again’ rock star, 28, has already apologised to her for the imply lyrics, including: “Wiz really apologised to me already, so I have forgiven him”.
“They [slut shamers] are ignorant at times”. Amber may not have gotten all the support she was looking for before her event, but she sure got a lot of it once the walk started.
