America’s Got Talent: Season 11 Renewal for NBC Summer Series
Season 10 (2015) wrapped up its Part 1 of Semfinals after declaring the first five finalists of the season on September 2, 2015.
Cannon next revealed which three acts automatically made it to the finals based on America’s votes.
All those who advanced are one step closer to their own Las Vegas show and the $1 million grand prize. [Spoiler alert!].
“America’s Got Talent” is the only talent competition series open to performers of all backgrounds, allowing them to showcase their skills and take the stage in front of the celebrity judge panel, as well as the entire country.
Next is a quick recap of last night’s show.
Performing on tonight’s live results show was magic group, The Illusionists, which this fall will start a limited holiday residency entitled “The Illusionists-Live on Broadway” at the Neil Simon Theatre. Standing at the center of the stage are Benton Blount, The CraigLewis Band, as well as Samantha Johnson.
Ira and his mom, the comedic puppet duo, hit the stage first. Howard gives Derek a lecture on how he needs to bring in during the finals or others acts will beat him. Mountain Faith Band was next up and they put a unique bluegrass twist on The Weeknd’s popular jam “Can’t Feel My Face”. Elimination results will be added below once announced. Donnelly said, “Following the landmark tenth anniversary season, we’re looking forward to discovering the next decade of exceptionally talented acts, beginning with season 11…” Oz Pearlman moved on to the next level. Ira is never heard from again and Mountain Faith Band elect Arielle as their Sergeant of Arms in the Lonely Musical Hearts Club backstage. A total of 10 acts will appear in the finals. Siro-A was eliminated.
Time to find out the Dunkin Save result. It’s mostly just interesting because if this was 2009, Benton and Samantha probably would be in the finals already. There is no word whether fellow judges Howie Mandel, Mel B and Heidi Klum will follow suit or stay onboard.
