American football star suffers horrific knee injury in college game

Nick Chubb will miss the rest of the season after tearing his PCL and two other knee ligaments on the first play from scrimmage in Georgia’s loss to the Tennessee Volunteers on Saturday.

The Tennessee Vols football team overcame numerous losing streaks in their 38-31 victory over the Georgia Bulldogs.

“I’m optimistic that it won’t require surgery, but I can’t say that 100 percent”, Georgia head coach Mark Richt told reporters after the game.

So knowing that, I saw Jashon [Robertson] and Mack [Crowder] go down, and these new guys came in and I said, ‘alright I’m going to have to step up and protect Dobbs as well as I can”. The Vols tallied an astonishing 519 total yards. Since 1989, Texas is 6-2 when unranked and facing a ranked Oklahoma squad.

Frankly this game should have been over on fourth-and-eight with a minute left in the half.

More importantly, the win gives Tennessee confidence.

Western Kentucky accidently converted an onside kick.

Saturday’s game marked Tennessee’s first comeback win from a deficit of 21 points or more in the last 25 times it has trailed by that margin.

When Jerrod Heard and the Longhorns offense got the ball with 3:33 left and Texas leading 24-17, they never gave it back.
