‘American Horror Story’ coming to Halloween Horror Nights

The Exorcist and Krampus will also be represented this year with new mazes. Universal Studios Hollywood’s HHN event will have an “American Horror Story” maze as well.

Halloween Horror Nights at Universal parks are scheduled to begin September 16 and run through October 31.

“American Horror Story” is coming to Universal Orlando’s annual Halloween event.

In the Murder House portion, guests will be haunted by the tortured spirits trapped in the Harmon’s house.

The maze, which will appear at the event on both coasts, will feature scenes from three of American Horror Story’s seasons: Murder House from Installment 1, Freak Show from Installment 4, and the Hotel from Installment 5. In ‘Freak Show, ‘ guests will join a troupe of biological misfits in a sinister sideshow where they’ll be stalked by the murderous and deformed Twisty the Clown. And in the part based on Hotel, guests will be forced to succumb to the Countess’ deadly desires.

As the Orlando Sentinel explains, for thematic elements in Halloween Horror Nights, the Universal parks’ creative teams rely on existing horror franchises as well as dreaming up their own concepts. ““It’s that constant evolution that makes this popular series a ideal fit for Halloween Horror Nights – and we cant wait for our guests to experience some of the horror theyve seen on the show”.

FX might still be keeping the theme of this year’s American Horror Story season under wraps – rumor has it that it will be based on the Manson family, although that’s not confirmed – but here’s a bit of incredible news for fans of Ryan Murphy’s yearly horror anthology series that should have you super stoked. “The attraction – which showcases multiple chapters from the acclaimed FX anthology – offers a chilling live-action thrill and simultaneously complements the series highly anticipated premiere on September 14th.”. The show’s awards include 13 Emmys and two Golden Globes.

I know feelings tend to be mixed about “American Horror Story”, but there’s no doubt that the show has become quite the cultural sensation.
