‘American Horror Story’ Creators Reveal Truth Behind Season 6 Theme
Just when you thought your frustration with American Horror Story’s coy promotion of Season 6 might be coming to a middle, FX throws a curveball.
Now we know that most of those trailers probably won’t have anything to do with the actual season.
American Horror Story has always been a mysterious show. “Every year we’ve laid out the themes and new genre”. It is kind of like reading a catchy headline and duping people into clicking on an article.
Apparently, the theme of American Horror Story’s upcoming season is sitting right under our very noses.
“They made many more trailers than you’ve actually seen for hypothetical seasons of American Horror Story, different genres”, Landgraf said. Of course, that could also lead to some backlash.
“We thought it would really be fun to keep it a mystery”, said FX Productions CEO John Landgraf at a Television Critics Association panel today. “So all I can say is there is a theme, and a setting, and a place, and a time, but we’re not going to reveal it because we think it will be fun for the audience to have a bit of a surprise this year”. “They’re really fun and amusing and artfully made”. See if you can guess which one!
Entering its sixth season, American Horror Story shows no signs of slowing down. Their time was essentially wasted, which takes it to a whole different level that could lead to some damaging reactions.
So, it turns out that the question mark in the advertising for American Horror Story season?6 is more than just an obnoxious piece of grammar that trips up poor, innocent horror news writers.
This definitely explains why the trailers are so different from each other, with one centering on a bug crawling on a woman’s face, another featuring an isolated farm and another featuring a baby’s crib mobile with a knife hanging from it.
“One is accurate; all the rest are misdirect”, Landgraf told reporters at the TCA Press Tour.
