‘American Horror Story: Hotel’ spoilers: Sarah Paulson, Matt Bomer on filming
Meanwhile, FX will be making an appearance at the San Diego Comic-Con this week, and “American Horror Story” fans might be having a first glimpse at a teaser trailer that will offer Lady Gaga’s first “Hotel” look. Why the long wait? “We have a long-term plan with the show and things are connected, Murphy explained”.
The male characters confirmed in the upcoming season will be portrayed by Matt Bomer, Evan Peters, Finn Wittrock, Max Greenfield, Wes Bentley, Cheyenne Jackson and Denis O’Hare. Murphy said if Curtis hadn’t agreed to do the show, they wouldn’t have made it. Fortunately, she was on board, which gave Murphy a springboard for bringing in other big names. “When you work with somebody like her, you sign up for something that I think is larger than life”, said Murphy. “The reason we’re all here is the writing”.
The actress mentioned that there’s a specific tip of the hat to her Laurie Strode character from Halloween in Episode 2. “She said, ‘I want to be evil.’ And I said, ‘OK, you came to the right place, ‘ ” Murphy said.
Watch for a horror movie throwback Curtis said in Episode 2, she does a brief “wordless homage” to Halloween.
Said Roberts of her “queen bee” character Chanel Oberlin, “You’re going to love her, hate her, love to hate her – all the above”.
The same goes for Lourd (better known as Carrie Fisher’s daughter), whose character Chanel #3 is also not so pleasant. She told me she had an acting background. Take solace in knowing Paulson will survive on American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Murphy even noted that they shot different takes with different characters as the killer, so as not to spoil it on set.
Lady Gaga may be heading up the new season of American Horror Story, but we’re pretty sure the main star will be the hotel itself.
“It’s very sexy”, Paulson said of AHS: Hotel. Two sides of the same coin. Angela Bassett will also return, but her role has not been disclosed yet. “I got a lot of attention with that!”
Michael Goi, the director of photography for the hit series, responded to a fan’s question about the show’s fifth season on Twitter. As indicated by Bates, she learned how to do it by searching online for lessons.
Lady Gaga for “American Horror Story: Hotel”.
As for Bomer joining the cast, the actor said, “Who wouldn’t want to join AHS?”
“This year, it’s a true ensemble and I think we have more male parts and more male stories. It’s a dream come true”.
Bomer is excited about working with Ryan. “No, no musical numbers”. “I felt I got that out of my system”.
