American Idol 2016 Spoilers: Sneak Peek at Idol Top 14 Week

While the judges sent Dalton Rapattoni, Olivia Rox, Trent Harmon and La’Porsha Renae straight through to the Top 10, six spots still wait to be filled. But back to Sonika, I didn’t hear any bad notes and her voice sounded spectacular.

Vaid, 20, of Weston, and Johnson, 25, of New Bedford, bested thousands of applicants to compete on the 15th season of the Fox singing competition for celeb judges Jennifer Lopez, Keith Urban, and Harry Connick Jr., as did Worcester native Jessica Cabral, 21, Boston Globe said.

So, here’s what you need to know about voting.

Torres, 21, is one of 10 contestants battling for six spots in the top 10. With the hope that Vaid might become the first Indian-American American Idol, the Asian-Indian community is especially interested. Notably David Archuleta, season seven’s runner up, and Carmen Rasmussen, who was a Top Ten contestant from season two.

Vaid sang the Celine Dion classic, “I Surrender” for the first time for Idol audiences and on the American Idol stage. It’s been a memorable season so far as some of the show’s biggest stars from past shows have returned to help the current contestants. Like with Avalon, Jenn will make the live shows very interesting and lively. Urban thought the song and the performance were equally impressive on Wednesday.
