UC Davis Medical Center Chief Executive Officer Ann Madden Rice expressed her appreciation for the team that supported Stone’s recovery.
‘And, thanks to everyone who has sent encouragement during this challenging time.

An American who helped stop an attempted terrorist attack in France and was stabbed multiple times last week outside a Sacramento nightclub was released Thursday from a California hospital. Police previously said the stabbing was unrelated to the incident in Europe and described Stone’s attackers as two Asian men.
“I’m focused now on healing and recovering and look forward to the next part of my journey”, Stone said in a release.
Spencer Stone was knifed three times in the torso on 8 October in a fight near a bar in Sacramento, California.
On Thursday, Stone’s mother Joyce Eskel also thanked the staff at UC Davis Medical Center on behalf of his entire family.
Chilling footage previously shown to the public revealed the moment Stone was stabbed as he tried to fight off a group of men.
Eyewitness Eric Cain, who was working at A&P Liquor store at 21st and K Street, told Daily Mail Online that the stabbing was over an unidentified girl who then fled the scene with the two suspects.
The Police Department on Wednesday released more camera images of the vehicle they believe was driven by those who attacked Stone. We’ve been overwhelmed by the support from our family and friends, the Sacramento area, the Air Force and people around the world. Police say the assault had nothing to do with the European terror plot.
Anyone with information about the attack or the suspects is urged to call the Sacramento Police Department at 916-264-5471 or Crime Alert at 916-443-HELP (4357).
