Amiibo news: Toys ‘R’ Us announces exclusive Villager amiibo

Now, with only a few remaining to come from the Super Smash Bros. line, we have gotten news of a group of new retailer exclusives, which also include the first exclusive restocks for a previously non-exclusive amiibo. The new shipments will be in next month – November 8th.

The most recent TRU store exclusive was Bowser Jr. but luckily Nintendo shipped a decent quantity of them so finding one was nowhere near as hard as it has been.

When Mega Yarn Yoshi was revealed in Nintendo’s 2015 lineup back in August to work with Yoshi’s Woolly World, even the manliest of amiibo collectors couldn’t help but be amazed at how cute the giant amiibo was.

In a matter of weeks, collectors and gamers can at last rush to Toys R Us to grab a couple of exclusive amiibo offerings. While this isn’t an automatic deal breaker for a few, Toys “R” Us confirmed this morning that the Godzilla of amiibos will indeed be exclusive to their store. Mega Yarn Yoshi is predestined for Toys R Us beginning November 15th, and Falco will launch exclusively at Best Buy on November 20th. Villager was originally retail-agnostic when it launched in November 2014. There’s no release date on Mega Yarn Yoshi yet but for now, but that grayed out photo means that it’s technically still a rumor.
