Amy Poehler’s Show ‘Difficult People’ Includes A disgusting Joke About Blue Ivy
Somehow, 3-year-oldBlue Ivy got mixed up in an adult joke made by comedienne Julie Klausner, who stars in the new Hulu series, hard People.
It shows Julie Klausner in character, checking her phone and becoming increasingly upset to see that the Internet is lashing out at her over some Blue Ivy joke she made. The joke makes life hard for her and her friend Billy (Parks and Recreation’s Billy Eichner).
Amy Poehler is treading in unsafe waters after airing a joke on her Hulu show hard People that has Queen B. disciples a.k.a. The BeyHive aswarm.
“I can’t wait for Blue Ivy to be 18-years-old so R. Kelly can piss on her”, Klausner jokes during the show. A grown man urinating on a child is never amusing, and for it to be fodder in a writers room just shows you how detached some people can be from the wrongs and rights of the world. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Klausner shared that Poehler gave notes on every script of the series, pointing to her knowledge of the Blue Ivy comment.
“Amy could not have been more hands-on”, she said.
As the Washington Post points out, those offended have taken to Twitter to complain and asking for Poehler to apologize. She weighed in on casting videos, cast roles.
She also added, ” She came up with the title. “She would be involved in every stage of the process in a way that she would go above and beyond”. While the inapporpriate words were said on Poehler’s show, it is not clear whether or not the SNL alumna wrote it herself.
We can’t even bring bring ourselves to quote the creepy-ass dialogue here, but suffice to day, it involves Blue Ivy Carter and the R. Kelly molestation case.
