Amy Winehouse ‘thought she was pregnant’
Amy Winehouse believed she was pregnant before she died, her father has said.
And Amy’s ex-husband Blake Fielder-Civil – who is widely blamed for her struggles with drug addiction and ultimately, her death – recently spoke out to insist he “won’t take any responsibility” for her passing away.
Winehouse’s comments don’t make it clear when Amy believed she was pregnant.
He said: “She was with Reg, they were going to get married”.
Mitch Winehouse, from Greenhithe, made the startling revelations in an Australian television interview when speaking about the film Amy – a documentary released in July. PA Amy had settled down with Reg “I should not inform you this still she thought she was pregnant at some stage”.
He said the “frankly criminal” documentary wrongly presented the fallen pop star as a loner, despite her being engaged to British film director Reg Traviss.
“None of Amy’s staff are in the film”.
O’Keefe points out that the documentary painted Mitch himself in a poor light, allowing him to respond to claims he dissuaded Amy from attending rehab and to instead keep touring at “a time when she probably needed to retreat and look after herself”.
Reg was also left out the film.
He claimed the work is “misleading”, carried a number of alleged falsehoods and missed out on an opportunity to celebrate her life.
