An mad Birds Sequel Is Officially Happening
As soon as we get some more details about raging Birds 2 and how the game will differ from the original game, we will let you guys know, the new game will launch on the 30th of July.
The second title for the franchise is expected to be announced on July 28. “Badder. Birdier” than the previous mad Birds games. The announcement came via the developer’s blog, which says the game will be released on “app stores worldwide“. In the mean time, you can grab a bunch of the more popular mad Birds titles for free, or just $1 in Rovio’s iOS sale.
The mechanics of the game are expected to be along the same lines, having players launch bird projectiles into evil pigs’ high tower. The goal is to topple the structure with as little attempts as possible.
Far from the second game in the series, counting spin-offs like Bad Piggies and mad Birds Stella, there have been a total of fifteen games using the mad Birds license in some way.
Along the way, there have been a host of other mad Birds mobile games. If it’s successful, mad Birds 2 could also be a viable lead-in to the company’s computer-animated mad Birds action-comedy starring Jason Sudeikis and Peter Dinklage, which is set for a global premiere in May 2016. This will have a positive impact on licensing in the coming years. These variations kept the game alive and momentum is still strong even now, after six years, contributing to the hype for raging Birds 2. The movie is directed by Clay Kaytis and is based on a script developed by “The Simpsons” writer, Jon Vitti.
