Ancelotti keen on Premier League return
He has been fined twice for criticising officials and watched Chelsea’s defeat to Stoke from a hotel room where he was serving a one match stadium ban.
Ancelotti, who managed Chelsea between 2009 and 2011 was sacked despite winning the club their first-ever league and FA Cup double in 2010. “We are not playing well but that does not mean we are not in favour of the manager or something like that”, said the 28-year-old.
“Not just in England, it can be in another country, but my idea is not to start now”.
“But all of us – the players, fans and the coach – have to pull together and hang tough”. I look at his body language and he’s OK. Sometimes you can’t explain why things happen… what is going wrong.
“During the Dynamo Kiev game, the supporters were singing his name. He’ll sort it out”.
Despite this, Ancelotti – now without a club after parting ways with Real Madrid at the end of last season – would not be put off by a return to the London club, although he believes they are doing the right thing in standing by Mourinho.
He added: “Mourinho was our rival, the same as Real Madrid, the same as Sergio Ramos, as Pepe, as Cristiano”.
Ancelotti said he had not been approached by Liverpool prior to the appointment of Jurgen Klopp, but said he would be keen on a return to the Premier League if the right job came up.
Despite enduring a hard start to the season with Chelsea in the Premier League, Fabregas was back on song last week for the Spanish national side, with his assist for Mario Gaspar helping Spain beat England 2-0.
He said: “Clearly, I miss Barcelona”.
“Real Madrid, there are more doubts over the way they will play”. Fabregas says Chelsea’s season is f***ed, saying luck has just completely deserted them.
Ancelotti also spoke about his former club Chelsea FC and their current struggles in the league as they find themselves in 16th place after 12 games.
