Andre Iguodala clowns Thunder after Warriors sign Kevin Durant
Warriors forward Andre Iguodala says the Thunder were the best team in the playoffs last season.
Iguodala said that the Thunder should have won the National Basketball Association championship citing that they were the tougher match up in the postseason for Golden State.
Last week, Kevin Durant announced that he’s leaving for Golden State. “They should’ve won a championship”. “We said ‘oh man, we gotta play ideal to beat them'”.
Yet the notion that Oklahoma City was a better team in the playoffs than the one Golden State actually lost to is baffling. Please note that he hates being called “Iggy”.
“It was in the West cause we played him four times”. Some of the stuff they was doing, it’s like.oh, man.
The Cleveland Cavaliers overcame their own 3-1 deficit in the NBA Finals that lead in a heartbreaking defeat for the Warriors and a well earned (and long awaited) championship for the Cavs lead by LeBron James. They had the ideal opportunity to knock out Golden State and pursue their first championship since the franchise moved to Seattle in 2008.
Oklahoma City had a double-digit lead entering the fourth quarter of Game 6, at home, against the Warriors. “(The Thunder) were the best team previous year in the playoffs. But they were better than us, ” Iguoudala said. They were better than us. Still, it’s a refreshing proclamation for Iguodala to say publicly. Golden State’s path to a championship is much easier now that Durant is on their team and Iguodala just can’t help but boast about it.
Wonder if Iguodala now thinks the Warriors should win in 2016-17 season?
