Andrew Luck Cleared for MNF, While 3 Defensive Starters Ruled Out
Starting quarterback and easily the best player on the team, Andrew Luck has cleared the concussion protocol and will play on Monday Night Football against the New York Jets, according to Adam Caplan of ESPN.
The good news: center Ryan Kelly and right guard Denzelle Good have practiced this week, so the Colts may not need to piece together their seventh different starting line this season.
In the 28-7 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers on November 24, Scott Tolzien was 22 of 36 for 205 yards. Luck is expected to return to action on Monday night against NY. The Texans won the first matchup in Houston, but this Week 14 game will be played in Indianapolis. Just think about the last 15 months.
Three defensive starters were ruled out by the Colts, including two in the secondary. The Florida International product ranks No. 2 in the league with 20 catches of at least 20 yards and has two games this season with over 170 yards receiving.
This will be the 73rd meeting between these intraconference foes, as the Colts will be looking to build on a 41-31-0 edge on the Jets in their all-time head-to-head series.
