Android Skype update saves memorable videos
Skype just rolled out a new updated version of their app for Android, the Skype 6.11, which comes with a number of new features in order to further enhance user experience.
Skype announced that it has updated its Android app to version 6.11. A long-press on a conversation now brings up a toolbar with buttons to delete the conversation, mark all its messages as read, or just mute its notifications.
The messaging application has released an update that adds the capability to its Android version, along with a few other features. Users can now share photos directly from their photo gallery within a group conversation. Apart from this feature, the update also brought the possibility to search conversations more easily.
The Moji system inside Skype has been upgraded, so users can now tap on a cool Moji to forward it to another friend or group. 11 for Android now allows users to save video messages.
The search tool has also been improved to now allow users to search conversations for content in addition to looking for contact and group names. In the same way, users will also be able to forward Mojis, and they can even decide if they should play again or not by tapping on them.
Receiving a memorable video message on Skype that users want to keep forever, they can tap it and then choose Save to Gallery on Android devices, Engadget reports.
The Microsoft-owned Internet telephony service made the new component of its Android app very simple and straight forward.
Skype for Android 6.11 is available now as a free download for Android phones and tablets running Android 4.0.3 or later.
