Andy Garcia, Michael K. Williams, & Cecily Strong Cast In Ghostbusters Reboot

The only one with a confirmed character description is Andy Garcia, as The Wrap’s Jeff Sneider and Matt Donnelly alleged he will play the Mayor of New York City.

With his female-led GHOSTBUSTERS reboot in the midst of production in Boston, director Paul Feig is now a very busy man, but he’s not using that as an excuse to leave fans monitoring his Twitter account out in the cold. In 2014, Garcia was teaming up with Jeremy Renner in drama “Kill the Messenger”, and took part in comedy “Let’s Be Cops”.

There is no detail yet about the role Strong will portray. The Paul Feig-helmed all-female reboot of Ghostbusters might not even be out yet, but geek girls are ready to dress up as them, updated Proton Pack and all. And Feig is a pretty nice guy, so he provided some new images with some helpful specs about the size of the neutrino wand and the pack itself. And by the end of the movie, they’ll probably have all-new gear that makes the proton packs a little more sleek and advanced.
