Angel Di Maria to the Manchester United fans: I’m sorry
Di Maria set a British soccer record for the most expensive transfer when he left Real Madrid for Manchester United, but his Old Trafford career failed to meet expectations.
I did my best but football is not like maths: “often a lot of things out of our control affect the way we feel and the way things turn out”, the 27-year-old said.
“I’m happy because I know my wife and child will be happy in Paris”, he added.
Pastore is hoping the result will be a sign of things to come and thinks the arrival of Di Maria from Manchester United has given everyone associated with the club a big boost.
Luiz added: “It’s a win for the club, not just 10 guys”.
“They (United) also wanted to sell me”. The three parties agreed. “I am very proud to now be able to play for this great club, alongside such great players”, he concluded.
Di Maria, 27, brought to an end a disappointing one-year stay with United on Thursday as he completed a €63 million transfer to Paris Saint-Germain.
Di Maria left United having scored just four goals in a total of 32 appearances across all competitions.
A failure to meet expectations saw Di Maria linked with a move away from the Premier League in recent weeks, with PSG emerging as his most likely destination.
The 23 year old England midfielder was hurt in a collision with a teammate at training, but manager Arsene Wenger says there’s minimal damage apart from the bone damage.
“Nevertheless, I’m knowledgeable products didn’t act as all of us all predicted and take it from me, I experience really unhappy regarding this”.
“He wanted to join us and I’m glad to see this club can recruit players of his quality”. I want to win UEFA Champions League trophy again, which is the dream of all footballers.
