The live –action film of Disney has become Angelina Jolie’s best live –action flick ever with crossing the record of the Studio’s ‘Oz the Great and Powerful’’.

Angelina Jolie’s starrer ‘Maleficent’ has passed $500 million at the box office worldwide in its first week only. According to the reports it the highest grossing film of the star in live- action genre and still counting its figures. Angelina Jolie’s last best grossing movie was with hubby Brad Pitt ‘Mr. and Mrs. Smith’ whose box office collections was estimated to be $478.2million worldwide in 2005 year. The movie has brings back Jolie into action by setting such a huge benchmark.

‘Maleficent’ was one of the huge and passionate project for the star with such a strong character for her to play. The movie in it first week has grossed a heavy sum of $186 million, domestic total in North America only.

The star was able to fuel the overseas market collecting almost $44.7 million from 54 markets internationally. It has make $20.3 million only in China. Internationally the movie has grossed the total of $335.6 million and making worldwide total of $521.6 million. ‘Maleficent’ has been a boon for Disney as it crosses the grand total of its previous highest grossing movie ‘Oz the Great and Powerful’ which made the worldwide collection of $493.3 million.

The best international market for the film has been Mexico with $40.4 million total till now after which Russia stands making almost $34.8 million then UK grossing $25.7 million and then Brazil adding $24.2 million to the collection. The movie will be release in Japan on 4th July which will definitely add whooping sum to the collection of movie.
