Anoka Mother Charged After Thursday’s AMBER Alert
Yusra Abumayaleh, 30, of Anoka, was charged with deprivation of custodial rights.
Authorities have canceled an Amber Alert after finding a 15-month-old girl who was taken from a Ramsey daycare center by her mother. The Anoka County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help finding the girl and the woman who’s suspected of taking her. She had been acting in an irrational manner, threatening to commit suicide and/or cause harm to other people, according to the sheriff’s office.
Authorities believe the girl and mother are in danger.
An AMBER alert went out Thursday afternoon for Sheikh. 5′ 4 tall, 217 lbs. She was last seen wearing a long-sleeved white shirt, purple fleece trousers and a rainbow sweatshirt. Officials distributed photos of her with her hair covered but said she no longer covers her hair that way. Last known location was the Coon Rapids area, from 3 p.m.to 4 p.m. on October 21.
Anyone with information on their whereabouts is asked to contact the Anoka County Sheriff’s Office at 763-427-1212. The duo are believed to be be traveling in a black 2004 model Honda Civic with a license plate that reads 386 HUJ. Initial reports said that the teen was abducted by two men in a small vehicle.
