Anonymous goes after Donald Trump over plan to ban Muslims

The Trump Towers site, trumptowerny.com, went down for around an hour yesterday, reportedly in retaliation for Trump’s recent suggestion to ban “all Muslims” from entering the US. His statement that Muslims should be banned entering United States evoked sharp criticism not only in the U.S. but also around the world.
Despite the group’s apparent distributed-denial-of-service attack, which aimed to take down a web server by flooding it with fake traffic, the Trump Tower website was up and running by 11 a.m.
Trump’s statements and policy positions up to now have inspired outrage, blog posts and memes, all of which have become standard fare in American politics. The group started taking down websites affiliated with Trump’s presidential run and business holdings earlier this week. Trump also was the only invited candidate to show at the meeting, the association’s executive director, Jerry Flynn, told the AP.
He spoke to a police officers’ union in New Hampshire Thursday evening, proclaiming, “Anybody killing a policeman, a policewoman, a police officer, anybody killing a police officer: Death penalty is going to happen, okay?”
Anonymous has waged many “wars” against other groups.
Both videos sign off with the signature phrase of the hacktivist group.
“I say, folks, you know, I’m sorry I did this to you, but you’ve got to get used to it”, Trump said.
Most Republican voters said they were not bothered by his remarks, though many said the comments could still hurt Trump’s chances of becoming president.
Trump, like ISIS, receives outsized attention for his savvy use of social media. “Do they to walk free?” the member asks. Recently released polls indicate that his ideas have not made an impact on the level of support Trump receives in the GOP primary.
