Another Avenger Might Appear in ‘Thor: Ragnarok’
The giant green guy, who also sometimes goes by the name Bruce Banner (don’t mention puny Banner) was last seen soaring into the sky in a Quinjet at the end of Avengers: Age Of Ultron. This left a big question mark as to when or where the Hulk would reappear in the MCU prior to the obvious inclusion in THE AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR films.
According to the report, Thor will team with the Hulk as Asgard faces a Norse Apocalypse.
Mark Ruffalo joins Tom Hiddleston (also confirmed by our sources) and Jaimie Alexander in RAGNAROK, which we’ve also heard will involve a “distant planet” that is “not Asgard and not Earth”. It is unclear if this distant planet is from the pages of Marvel Comics or something newly created for the MCU, but the fact that it is a “distant planet” seems to indicate that Thor: Ragnarok could use elements of “Planet Hulk” comic book storyline in the film. As Hulk listens to a recording from the Avengers explaining their actions, his shuttle crashes on the planet Sakaar. No matter how you slice it, dropping Hulk in Thor: Ragnarok makes sense in the grander scheme of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, as it answers where Hulk might have gone after Age of Ultron, and it gives Thor a few needed Avengers assistance as he conducts his search into the mystery of the Infinity Stones. One of the Hulk’s major opponents just so happens to be the Silver Surfer. Since Silver Surfer is technically a part of Fantastic Four franchise, he is unavailable for Marvel because Fox owns its film rights. But, will this launch the long-rumored Planet Hulk storyline? Only this time out he’ll have a few help from a fellow Avenger. Would you like to see Hulk and/or Loki appear in the next Thor film? It also follows the trend of folding more characters into these “solo” films, making them more of an ensemble. Where he’ll show up is anyone’s guess-some believe he’ll make a brief appearance in Captain America: Civil War, while others have said it’ll be a while before we see him again. We’ve seen that in Captain America: Winter Soldier, and (to a lesser degree) Ant-Man, and now Thor: Ragnarok will supposedly have at least two Avengers members featured.
Thor: Ragnarok has a November 3, 2017 release.
