Another MAJOR Star Is Set For The Royal Rumble
Even WWE Raw had some buzz following Survivor Series’ dramatic ending. It was good that the match was over quickly, as fans only saw the good stuff. During his speech, he thanked all the fans, his wife for putting up with him during his weeks of training, and his young son.
Goldberg put down Lesnar in less than two minutes, stunning the crowd. “I run into none other than Stephanie McMahon”. While this could be an argument against the Buffalo live event being a network special, as the WWE likely wouldn’t have two major network events take place within one week of each other, this becomes almost irrelevant when one considers that the next pay-per-view is WrestleMania. As Brock gathered himself up, Goldberg bolted towards “The Beast” and inflicted a rib-crushing spear on him. Addressing his fans, Goldberg said, “I did what I said I was gonna do”. “At the #RoyalRumble Match …”
“I miss @WWE terribly”, he wrote on Twitter. Ambrose pretty much nearly helped his team lose by taking his frustration out on Styles along with his former Shield stablemates Reigns and Seth Rollins, so he might turn into a villain. That’s right-the epic smack down between Goldberg and Brock Lesnar will take place north of the border!
Going by the record that Goldberg carries is tremendously impressing.
Clearly, it was not enough time for the man who was away from the ring for 12 long years.
This year’s Royal Rumble is set for January 29, 2017, and it will emanate live from the Alamodome in San Antonio. Reigns could also follow suit considering he was the scapegoat of “WWE RAW”. As of this report, it doesn’t appear that Goldberg will be a part of either one of those events, but that could still change.
During WWE’s Sunday night event, Goldberg defeated Brock Lesnar in the main event match.
It’s worth noting that Bill Goldberg or Brock Lesnar are not being advertised for tonight’s show but WWE is teasing a farewell from Goldberg.
If he does end up competing in 2017’s Royal Rumble, it will be his second appearance in the event. Now that touches the WWE universe’s heart. That piece of information was that Brock Lesnar will be headlining the show.
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson looks on during his match against John Cena during WrestleMania XXVIII at Sun Life Stadium on April 1, 2012 in Miami Gardens, Florida.
It would be a somewhat ironic turn of events, since Goldberg played a direct role in costing Lesnar the WWE Championship at No Way Out 2004, setting up their clash at WrestleMania XX.
But who will win Sunday’s big fight? Anything is possible within WWE, though. Will he win it, or will another superstar claim the huge win? Goldberg will continue to promote the Royal Rumble.
